Born in Paris,Tasso Adamopoulos began his musical
training in Israel,with his violonist father.He continued his studies in
Tel Aviv,with the famed Oeden Partos.The Adamopoulos family of string
players came to international attention when they performed for american
audiences,on television,for L.Bernstein and I.Stern,in 1957.At age
nineteen,Tasso Adamopoulos became the youngest ever solo violist of the
Rotterdam Philarmonic.
Since,he has been successively soloist of the Gulbenkian
Orchestra,Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and the Orchestre National de
France,under L.Maazel.Tasso Adamopoulos now balances careers as both
soloist and chamber music player.He performed with musicians such as :
I.Stern,J.P.Rampal,W.Sawallich,M.J.Pires,L.Maazel,P.Fontanarosa,M.Nordman,G.Tate,E.Krivine,A.Lombard…
In 1991,Tasso Adamopoulos created the « Sartoty String Trio »,with
R.Daugareil and E.Péclard.
In 1987,he was offered a professorship at the « Conservatoire supérieur
de Musique de Lyon »,and the « Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris », and
he gives masterclasses throughout the world.In 1998,he will be invited for
the third time at the International Académie of Kyoto,and will be guest
teacher at the Indiana university in the USA.Tasso Adamopoulos has
regularly been coaching the « Orchestre Français des Jeunes »,and was
invited to coach the Spanish Youth Orchestra.
Tasso Adamopoulos plays on a Landolfi viola made in 1755.
Après des études de violon auprès d'Henry
Rotenberg au conservatoire de Haïfa, il travaille l'alto avec Oeden
Partos à l'Académie de musique de Tel-Aviv.
Remarqué par Isaac Stern et Léonard Bernstein, il devient boursier de la
fondation Norman (American Israël Foundation).
De retour en Europe, il étudie avec Erwin Schiffer en Hollande et devient
Alto Solo de l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Rotterdam.
Alto solo à l'Orchestre National de France sous Lorin Maazel, il est
invité par Alain Lombard en tant que super soliste à l'ONBA.
Chambriste reconnu, il a joué avec des partenaires prestigieux tels que
Wolfgang Sawallisch, Jean Pierre Rampal, Maria Joao Pires, Brigitte
Engerer et est invité par les quatuors Talich, Hagen, Lindsay ;
membre du trio Sartory avec Roland Daugareil et Etienne Peclard, il fait
parti du quatuor de l'ONBA.
Il a joué en soliste avec l'Orchestre National de France, l'orchestre
philharmonique de Radio France, Rotterdam, RTL Luxembourg,
l'ensemble Orchestral de Paris et l'ONBA.
Professeur au CNSM de Lyon, il donne des Master Classes dans le monde
entier.
Tasso Adamopoulos joue un Alto de Landolfi de 1755.
